Action Station Softball

I think that softball is a good action station because some kids learnt a new sport and learnt how to play the game. I learnt how to play softball in our action station how to catch with the crappy glove and we played a game called stuck in the mud. I enjoy playing softball because I learnt new games and learnt how to play softball. I found it challenging to catch the ball because we had bad gloves. my favourite part was playing the games. I would choose softball again because I want to learn more about softball and because I haven’t played softball before so I want to learn more.

today we had another action station something I liked was running at each bases and also. I didn’t  like was catching the ball because the glove was not good. something I learnt was running bases is important in the whole softball because under 13 you can steal bases by slide kicking them and they might fall on them. and something I didn’t understand was throwing the ball away from the other people but you cant get it out from the bases and also I didn’t understand if I should throw it under arm or over. but I still throw it over but also sometimes under arm and there was a game called 3 balls down. and then we finished by going to break.

Tapu wai (Action)

Tapu ae (also known as Tapuwai and Tapuwae) is a traditional Māori ball game. It is an adaptation of Kī-o-rahi to a court game, and was formalised about 1900. Today it is played on a hard surface such as a netball or basketball court. The court consists of two sides where players pass the ball to each other, aiming to knock the wooden block in the middle of the circle on each of the two sides over. There are different types of Tapu ae, which range from using the formally known wooden block as a defense, and the other using cones with tennis balls. It is widely known throughout the country of New Zealand.

 Beach Ed

Hello my name is Tupara. This week we learnt about beach safety.my favourite part was when i got knocked over by the big waves because it was funny and sometimes the waves are bigger than me . My least favourite part was the learning because the life guards looked like they wanted us to leave because people were getting a little bit bored because of the learning .

I didn’t understand that how the waves got bigger and bigger and bigger with more people in the

water maybe and i didn’t understand how there was a big hole in the ground .

I learnt how rips form and the colour of the rips.

Te Ra kirihmete – christmas day

This Week we have been learning about Maori kupu that you can use in a sentence  about Christmas. One of the words are E oho – wake up. Some words are in Maori and in English. here is the link to my mahi.

Also we have to write the words and a Google slide and we have to add images to each slide that matches with the words and also we have to mote it saying the English words and the Maori words.

Thanks for reading my last blog for the year.

Hepeahea the Kai

this year we had to create a slide that’s asking if the food is good, or Is the food sweet, or is the food tasty, and asking if the food is sour like sour lollies and then we had to do  do a mote of  us saying the sentences of the words and we had to do In Maori and in English. and the hardest part was actually saying the words because it was hard actually saying the words in Maori but in English it was easy because I can say Maori and English.

Should We Recycle Compulsory?

SHOULD RECYCLING BE COMPULSORY

This week we have been doing a piece of persuasive writing about why recycling should be made compulsory recycling should be compulsory.   Here’s the link

Recycling helps save energy. If you recycle one glass bottle, it saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for four hours, power a computer for 30 minutes, or a television for 20 minutes. Recycling one aluminium can saves enough energy to run a 55-inch HDTV to watch your favourite movie

Habitat

This week we have been working on  habitat and it has been fun and my favourite part was we got to choose the animal for the Habitat and how they Adapt to that Habitat. here is the link
